Originally formed as a vehicle for Colin and Daves lads and their peers to play organised football, the club operated its first squad in the DJM Under 10 league.

Following seasons saw the interest in the Colts grow to an unexpected level giving the club officers the opportunity to widen the opportunities for youngsters in the area to join the club and participaete in organised football activities, both training together to build the team spirit and competing in the DJM.
